About Me

Hey! I’m Stefan Kwak, a 27 year old Game Designer from The Netherlands. For the past years I’ve been working on ‘ ADRIFT’ as a solo-dev which will release in Q4 of 2025. During this time I have also been working as an instructor at the highly rated Game Design & Production course at Breda University of applied sciences. 

My experience as a solo-dev enabled me to develop a broad set of skills covering all areas of development and going beyond as well.  Whether that is Biz-dev and pitching, marketing or organizing a booth at events like Gamescom, I’ve been able to get hands-on experience across all areas of bringing a game to market.

As an instructor I’ve also been able to exercise my soft skills while working with the students. From general guidance and presentations to focussed 1-on-1 feedback sessions, mentoring students and supervising team projects. 

Other

In my free time, I love to explore. Both in nature, but ideally in history. Ever since I was young I wanted to visit every castle, ruin, cathedral and temple I could find and would make the whole family mad when I’d go missing for hours in an archeological museum during a vacation. When I’m not traveling I love to read old and ancient books and transport myself to those worlds that way. It should come as no surprise that Assassin’s Creed and Uncharted were amongst my favorite franchises growing up. 

Growing up, my mom always used to think I’d end up doing archeology but I became more fascinated with creating these worlds rather then uncovering them. As a Game Developer I aim to share this feeling of awe and wonder with the players through the worlds in the games I create!
